UX Design is about more than simply solving a problem. It's how a problem can be solved in the simplest, most empathetic and flexible way possible while also figuring out how it fits within the bigger picture of a project. With this in mind, below are projects I have worked on that showcase the idea of simple, empathetic, and flexible design.
Natural Grocers is a local grocery store chain located in Western America. Dedicated to middle-class family health and healthy lifestyle, Natural Grocer continuously strives to provide organic, local foods as well materials to help educate customers on how to live a healthy lifestyle even when on a tight budget.
Through simple, flexible design, Natural Grocers was able to receive a new website design that provided their customers with a better experience when shopping online. This design kept aspects of the original design, as well as, the company's history and standards as a way to bridge the gap between them and their online customers.

The Weather Channel was brought to my cohort as a spec project in an attempt to figure out how they might attract and retain new and current users. My team and I designed a customizable feature that would allow users to pick which type of content they would like to see on their dashboard.
Another feature was to include a calendar that would sync to a users phone, if they chose to, that would allow for them to view weather for specific events quickly, without having to go through the pain of sorting through different types of forecasts. These designs allowed for a simple, more organized layout that implemented current Weather Channel designs, along with what users wanted/needed in the app.

We Intervene
We Intervene is an Ed-Tech company dedicated to helping school staff make data-informed decisions that will help better not only their schools but the community within and around.
My team and I took on this project as a capstone project. Leveraging research of different users and competitor sites, we were able to design a simple, yet adaptive parent portal to fit the ever-changing environment of education.
